Mini Worktop Bin

This is a great item for tea bags and milk tops etc etc. The lid removes easily and we have found that cheap (Poundshop) sandwich bags fit easily inside so the bin remains clean and easily emptied.The the normal high standard of finish of Lakeland products certainly applies to this item.

Read the reviews but thought I'd take a chance. Glad I did as this looks much nicer than the old plastic Vanish tub we were using for our used teabags etc! Top was difficult to get off the first time but once it had been eased off and a little oil wiped round the rim there has been no problem and it slips off easily for emptying and cleaning. If there's any downside it's that it could be a little bigger but there again it does encourage regular emptying :0) It's a good buy and does exactly what it's intended for. I think it certainly deserves a larger star rating than it's got.

I keep this close to the fridge as my husband seems to struggle all the way to the bin to put his beer bottle tops in, so it's perfect for that - I haven't needed to clean it though (in fact he still hasn't filled it after many months). I have the superhuman one and I use that in the utility, but it is a lot larger than this one.

I hadn't read the reviews of this product before purchasing, it was a last minute decision to take me up to the free postage threshold. When it arrived I was really pleased, but then frustrated when it came to emptying it. Like others I couldn't get the lid off. Eventually I removed the contents through the swing top, and stood the bin upside down in a pan of boiling water. The black top then lifted off easily, and I have greased the top of the metal section so that it will continue to do so.I now have a lovely little product which does exactly what I wanted it to do.
