Mini Worktop Bin

I bought one of these little bins for my caravan and it was so useful that I am now buying one for home

I have just read the reviews for this product & have just discovered that the lid comes off!! You need some muscle power though which is why I was convinced it didn't come off & spent ages trying to empty it. Very disappointing and a waste of money. However, I also bought the larger one and am very pleased with that. Looks much better than the ice cream tub I used to use.

I,ve had my bin for 6mths and the inside has started to rust despite being washed and dried daily!! poor quality from Lakeland

Read the reviews but thought I'd take a chance. Glad I did as this looks much nicer than the old plastic Vanish tub we were using for our used teabags etc! Top was difficult to get off the first time but once it had been eased off and a little oil wiped round the rim there has been no problem and it slips off easily for emptying and cleaning. If there's any downside it's that it could be a little bigger but there again it does encourage regular emptying :0) It's a good buy and does exactly what it's intended for. I think it certainly deserves a larger star rating than it's got.

This was my first purchase from Lakeland after being recommended by friends and having been interested in the stores. I was looking for a little bin to put compost scraps in and thought this would be ideal. Unfortunately within hours of trying to use it the swing lid (although very cute) was getting stuck and then fell off, which was actually handy because it was really difficult to get the lid off properly to empty anyway. Since then it has sat on my kitchen counter in a decorative capacity while I try to find a larger and better fit-for-purpose item. Cute but not worth it I'm afraid.
