Air Purifier

We do a lot of stir-frying and have to get our wok really hot until it is smoking before adding oil. This makes our kitchen very smoky and the smell of fat lingers in the air and spreads up the stairwell & into the bedrooms. Opening all our kitchen doors & windows didn't help to get rid of the smell. So we thought we'd give the air purifier a go & it really does work!! It does seem like a lot of money for a tiny gadget, but I've already bought 2 for friends as they have the same problem. You really notice the difference as the smell is eliminated fairly quickly ~ 2h compared to linger overnight and smelling it at breakfast the next day. Give it a go!

I was very wary around buying this product, despite the previous positive review as £19.99 seemed a little steep. However, our kitchen is in between our living room and conservatory and as such doesn't have an external window so cooking smells are a problem and linger for longer than usual so I decided to take the plunge.I am so glad I did - this is absolutely excellent. I turn it on when cooking bacon/sausages and (providing I close the doors) the smells are COMPLETELY banished from the kitchen in the space of half an hour. On the slight (and it is only slight) downside it does make a slight noise when turned on but do not let that deter you - I only turn mine on when I need to anyway - it isn't on all the time. This is a brilliant product and something I recommend to everyone.

I have a similar problem to another reviewer in that I do not have a vented extractor system to the outside and as a result the entire flat would often be "engulfed" with smells when cooking. Having tried all sorts to overcome this nothing really worked until... I put this air purifier to work. Switched it on at max (didn't find it noisy at all). Onions, garlic and fish were cooked and unbelievably, barely a whiff of any of these were left at the end of cooking, just a "fresh" smell. My husband even remarked that the air was considerably clearer and perhaps I should order 2 more, one for the bedroom and sitting room! This I intend to do. So if anyone is having second thoughts about this unit, please just try it. It's far, far cheaper than a purifier running expensive replacement filters which are not intended for that purpose anyway and in my case at least, did not tackle cooking smells at all.

This is a great little filter, at an extremely competitive price. I was given this as a gift to improve the air quality in my home. It does not give off an artificial scent (like candles or some other filters) only a natural freshness. This gadget makes a real difference to the house smelling cleaner. I have just been away for a week and turned it off and the difference when I walked through the door was really noticeable - I can only recommend you try it. Every home should have one.

This tiny gadget is really helping to keep cooking smells at bay - quite a feat for spicy food lovers! Very pleased I bought it.
