Committed as I am to doing our bit for the environment, I was still sceptical about the claims of these products, but after using them for about a month, I have happily been thoroughly convinced by the results. I have three small boys and regularly need to wash muddy play clothes, dirty white school shirts (that look as if they have been trodden around the changing room floor), football kit clogged with mud and more. I have been amazed at the results. School shirts come out white after one wash (without any stain remover), a filthy white rugby shirt came out as good as with Fairy non-bio (I didn't use the stain remover as I couldn't face spreading it over the entire shirt). My machine doesn't allow me to turn off the rinse, but I no longer need to put in extra rinses to make sure I rinse out every last bit of detergent for sensitive skins. I have also used ecoballs for machine washable handwash programme jumpers and other similar delicate items. Previously I would always use a delicate liquid and fabric conditioner but have found the eco balls just as effective, keeping the clothes feeling soft. I like the fact there are no artificial perfumes (which make me sneeze) and you don't have to use fabric conditioner so you are saving the environment and your pocket. I definitely give them a big thumbs up.
