Dry:Soon 3-Tier Heated Airer

Product number: 21736

If you get fed up with the sight of smalls draped over your radiators, or having your living space taken over by conventional airers for days at a time, a Dry:Soon heated airer is the answer.

This 3-Tier Standard Heated Airer offers 21m of drying space, holding 15kg of laundry, on a light aluminium frame and will dry your clothes much more quickly than an unheated tower airer. At less than 6p an hour to run, and thermostatically-controlled bars that won’t overheat, it’s also a lot kinder to your clothes than running a tumble dryer. And when you don’t have laundry to dry you can fold your electric airer down to only 8cm deep for flat storage.

Accessories available separately include: 3-Tier Standard Heated Airer Cover to keep the heat in and speed up drying, which also doubles as a storage bag for the folded airer; and the Mesh Shelf Duo, a pair of mesh shelves for laying delicate and smaller items flat rather than hanging them over the bars.

About Dry:Soon Heated Airers

When we introduced our first heated tower airer in 2008 we knew it was a winner but we weren’t prepared for just how quickly it would race to the top of the best sellers list or how long it would stay there. Since then we’ve not only developed our Standard range but also introduced a Deluxe range, too, and a selection of handy accessories, in response to customer suggestions, to make them the best airers ever.

Our heated airers cost just pennies an hour to run. They’re also much kinder to clothes than tumble drying and neater and more efficient than laying laundry over your radiators.

Not only do we offer a choice of designs and sizes, each version also benefits from folding shelves that can be positioned to suit your needs: you can dry T-shirts, socks or larger items over the rungs; lay delicate clothes flat to avoid stretching, or hang sheets and big towels over the top without them touching the floor.

Made from light yet robust aluminium, Dry:Soon airers are easy to move around and fold down to 9cm or less deep for storage, ready to be pressed into action throughout the winter months, or whenever the weather isn’t cooperating.

I've had this for about 5 years now and I love it.. I wash my clothes in the evenings after work and hand them on the dry soon over night.. In the morning... We have dry clothes!! Perfect! Sometimes if I have a lot of clothes I have to space them out on the bars so they dry evenly and the little pegs bought as an extra are great for socks! Is definitely a lot better than hanging things on radiators and marking walls!!

I have had the airer a few days and it is fantastic. I have 3 boys and it has already made drying the dry clothes in this weather so much easier than using all the radiators. There is lots of room for over a big load.

I bought this on the recommendation of a friend who swears by hers. At first I thought mine was faulty as the only bits of the clothes that dried were the bits in direct contact with the bars, even with the cover on. I left a load drying for two days with the power on and it was still damp at the ends. Probably ok for the odd item that can’t go in the tumble dryer but I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on this as it hasn’t helped reduce my tumble dryer use.

support_agent A note from the team

We're sorry this hasn't worked as expected. We'd advise to use a high spin setting on your washing machine and to space the clothing out, it can also depend on the ambient temperature of the room it's in.

I’ll admit at first, I wasn’t that impressed. I thought it was a faff putting things on especially bedding and thick items like hoodies. After a few weeks of using, I now find it works a treat. Today I dried a full wash which included 2 hoodies. It took 12 hours, but it’s done it’s job. Bedding is a bit of a mare and thick towels, but all in all, I would recommend. I just wish I’d have bought the next size up. The cover makes a huge difference. You definitely need it. My only gripe with this are the zips being sticky.

"Lifesaver if you live in a flat!"

I purchased mine around 3 years ago and in the autumn/winter, it is in almost constant use. I found that it will take 2 washing machine loads if you layer the clothes flat on the racks and then put a double sheet over the top to keep the heat in yet allow moisture to evaporate (fitted sheets are best as the elasticated corners can be tucked under the lowest bar corners for a secure fit).If I do this then the washing is dry by morning. I would not be without mine now and would replacd it in a heartbeat if it broke down. Cheap to run, effective and no more shrunken clothes from a tumbledryer!
