iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaner 530

I have just purchased Robot Roomba..it is SO magical..I am over 74 and this is JUST what I wanted. A Robot to do my hoovering! My grandchildren are tickled pink with it. And so are my friends. It cleans better than any other hoover I have had. It goes from room to room, round the furniture, AND talks! It is easy to clean after. I think this item is excellent for the elderly who find it difficult to hoover. I had hip replacement somewhile ago, so obviuosly it helps me a lot. Bit expensive but will save me having to pay for someone to do my hoovering in the future.I recommend Roomba.....and we are calling it Robot Roomba..rbara! (just for me!)Barbara

Wow! fantastic gadget. my husband bought one for his flat in London, and recommended i get one for home too. it's great! sees off all those annoying bits of fluff that get trailed around on socks.have only had 'harvey' for a week, but now can't remember how to use my other vacuum cleaner. definitely recommend to anyone who has a busy life - set it off whilst i get ready for work in the morning and everywhere clean when i get home for lunch. grrrrrrreat!

I wouldn't be without my Roomba. We have a Border Collie, so Roomba picks up the hair (and mud) while the dog and I go out for a walk - perfect arrangement. The new brushes are rather fragile and long hairs sometimes get wound round the brushes, but it's very easy to empty and clean. Overall, worth every penny.

Would,nt be without Robbie, cleans one room while I dust another, great arragement. Worth every penny.

Yes we've bought a Roomba and yes, we've called him Ronaldo - he's used to being a striker but now he's our sweeper!. Most of all though he is absolutely fantastic. We live in an open plan new build with amtico flooring in the living/dining kitchen and hall. We've lived here for nearly 2 years and we have been constantly chasing the dust bunnies - but no more. On his first outing Ronaldo did an amazing job picking up and ghastly array of fluff, dirt hair etc. We send him out every other day now before going to work and when we come home the floors are beautifully clean - they even feel clean in your bare feet. And where is Ronaldo? - safely back in his dock charging up for his next trip. (we've docked him under a sideboard out of sight) We have even had him do the bathroom it only took him 10 minutes. I spent an hour or so Ronaldo proofing the house - basically hooking lying cables up out of the way at the back of furniture - quite easy actually and as a bonus it makes it easier to mop now too. I cannot recommend our boy highly enough - certainly for hard floors we don't intend to use him for carpets. Have fun
