Ultrasonic Jewellery Cleaner

I purchased this item specifically to clean silver jewellery that has gone tarnished. The polish cloth which was included with the cleaner has brought them up a treat after three times in the cleaner failed to remove much of the tarnish. I could have saved myself money and just purchased silver cloths instead! Also, it is annoying to have to unplug and carry the whole unit to the sink to empty. Would be more useful for the power supply to be removable from the back of the unit.

I am very disappointed with this product. I read the reviews which were mostly favourable, so decided to buy it. I have a few silver necklaces and earrings which have become tarnished and so thought this would be perfect for cleaning them up so I could wear them again. Sadly, even after buying the special liquid and several tries I might just as well have not bothered - they look no different! I should have saved myself some money and bought good old silver cleaner instead!

Had to comment on a previous user's review. Ultrasonic jewellery cleaners are NOT meant to remove tarnish, they make stones sparkle and reach the areas underneath settings that you can't get to. They are wonderful for some gems BUT be warned, the instructions are not clear for this device - a simple line says 'porous stones eg.pearls etc. should not be put in this machine,' please note NO Pearls, Emeralds, Opals or Rubies should go anywhere near this device! These must be cleaned with just a cloth, or at a stretch, water. This is a fab cleaner and does what it should!

I bought this cleaner initially for the purpose of cleaning my glasses as I was tired of buying expensive glasses that kept being scratched when I was cleaning them. I was dlighted with the performance of this product. I was even happier when I discovered all the other things you can clean, pretty much anything that is waterproof!

Recently purchased and am disappointed as it doesn't seem to do anything! You would be better off buying a traditional jewellery cloth cleaner for around £2.99 and save yourself some money.
