Soap Nuts

Soap nuts have proved themselves to be economical, easy to use and skin and cloth friendly too. Im amazed at how long they last and i like the clean airy smell and soft feel of my clothes, i think they r absolutely brilliant, they dont froth as much as normal powder or smell perfumy BUT if you can get used to that they are a winner, safe, kind to skin and environment and soooo economical. The bag could so with a rethink but using a tied up sock is a good solution.

I have been using soap nuts now for some time and they are great. I like the feeling that I am not damaging the environment too much whilst still getting a clean and fresh wash. When I got my first box of nuts I found the little bag quite frustrating to open once it was wet. Now I have dispensed with the drawstring and use an elastic band (the ones that the postman leaves lying on the drive!) and I twist this around the neck of the bag, which makes it really easy to undo when the nuts need changing.

I love using soapnuts and will not use regular detergent again. They even remove blood and red wine. Great for allergies too. I'd definitely recommend them.

These are excellent! I was a bit sceptical at first, but they leave everything so soft and clean without having to add softeners etc I'll definately be back for more. The bag that comes with them is the only disappointment, but the string type that came with my old detergent tablets does the job perfectly. I knew I'd find a use for it one day. Goodbye to all those old detergents. These make being "green" a pleasure.

I am so impressed with these Soap Nuts. White whites, Bright colours and soft too. I have recommended them to my Mum and friends. Chemical free and kind to the environment, my compost bin says 'thanks!' Must be kind to sensitive skin too? I'll definately be ordering more!! A bigger box for those of us already convinced as well as the 'trial size' would be usefull.
