2-Tier Extending Shoe Rack

I have had my racks and find them wonderful for my front porch, they have retained their shiny new feel for years. You can get round the 'shoe slipping off' problem by turning the racks 180degrees so the slope is facing towards a wall - if the shoes do slip the toes then bump the wall but stay in position. Once I'd worked this out I then thought 'maybe this is how they are supposed to be placed'?

I have just purchased a second shoe rack to stack on top of the first that i bought some time ago to accommodate my husband's ever growing collection of shoes. The rack seemed unsteady at first until I tightened the screws properly then I added the Stay- Put Shoe Rack Tape. What a difference! The shoes haven't budged. I keep having to admire (sad isn't it) these beautifully straight, paired lines of shoes. Thank you Lakeland for another brilliant discovery.

Unlike other reviewers, I've had no problem storing trainers, walking boots and other "flatties" alongside heeled shoes/boots: I find it is best to store shoes with the toes pointing upward, with heavy items along the bottom rungs. I could do with a two tier rack only 50 cm wide (4 pairs) to sit by my patio door!

The expanding facility is useful but the slope of the rack is such that, unless your shoes have a definite heel, they tend to slip off. I've ended up having to prop up the lower side with blocks as most of my shoes are flat. Because of this fault I wouldn't get this style of rack again.

I am so sorry to give a poor review to my favourite shop on the net, but this item finally gave up the ghost. Although it has been very useful to me. If only it had been stronger! :'( *Tears*
