"Perfect Perfobake"

I used my tin for the first time last weekend and it was wonderful. The pastry was cooked to perfection. I made a mediterranean pie and not a quiche so the filling was not liquid but even if it was a liquid filling one just needs to make the pastry over-sized to ensure there is no spillage! Will be buying another.

I must say that I am extremely impressed with this flan tin. I was slightly dubious, given some of the poor reviews, but I'm glad that I didn't heed them. Item arrived yesterday and last night I made a balsamic onion and cheddar quiche, my fave....and the pastry turned out just perfect,I believe, due to the perfobake tin. I can only think that those who gave poor reviews need to improve on their pastry skills? You'll only get leakage if there are faults in your pastry. Purchasing another at this unbelievable price!

Another great buy. Have all of these and don t need to grease tins. I've stopped baking my quiche base blind and it's perfectly crisp each time. Haven t had a disaster with any of these. Bread tins are perfect. Thank you

"I really wanted to like this tin but sadly couldn't"

Almost every time I have used this tin to make a quiche the pastry always tears and the egg leaks. Ive tried thicker pastry, putting tray on a baking sheet as every time you take it out of the oven the tin can "move" so the base moves, leaving tiny tears in the pastry, (but this really defeated the point of the holes and getting the air around it!), but the base wasnt all that crispy The sides are quite sharp too, so the "rolling the pastry over the rolling pin" method doesnt work as the sides rip the pastry. I have gone back to my old quiche tin sadly, and don't use this one any more
