"Perfobake 1lb loaf tin"

star star star star star

I bought this tin a few weeks ago and am very pleased with it. The bread comes out with a good colour and a crisp crust. I do line the tin with a loaf tin liner and have no problems with sticking so is very easy to turn out. If the bottom of the loaf doesn't sound hollow enough after my allotted baking time I place loaf back in oven upside down for a few minutes more (not in the tin).

Have two of these. Agree with earlier review about difficulty of removing loaf from tin. Also oiling the tin before use results in oil leaking through holes. Washing up is harder as pellets need to be removed from the holes. And I don't find the crust within the tin is baked any crisper than those from my solid loaf tins. Very disappointed.

"Perfobake Loaf Tin"

A great disappointment. As the bread rises, the dough grows into the perforations, which makes it extremely difficult to remove the finished loaf from the tin. I needed to push a spatula down the sides of the loaf to break it free from the tin before it was possible to turn it out. Furthermore the sides of the loaf's were covered in dimples making it look like it had developed a nasty heat rash whilst in the oven. I will most certainly be returning to my old loaf tins. I've given 1 star because the option for zero isn't available.

"loaf tins"

I bought 2 of these loaf tins, they were a total and expensive waste of money. Despite greasing them they began to stick after a couple of uses. REALLY dissapointed. I purchased a tin from another well known store for a third of the price and it has been wonderfull. Please don't buy these they are terrible. I hVe given it one star as there doesn't seem to be a no star option

"1lb loaf tins"

I make all the bread that we eat & wanted two 1lb loaf tins so I could make two smaller loaves at a time so that we can eat one and freeze one/give it to friends. The tins feel good quality and have a nice weight & they are perfectly proportioned for a small loaf but a good size of slice. The perforations do aid an even colour and bake a bit, but they also make greasing the tin messy and allow the bread to almost lock into the tin giving the crust a stippled texture and making the loaf hard to remove. I'll persevere and may try lining the tins, although that rather defeats the purpose. 2.5*
