We bought the ice cream maker and it arrived quicker than expected. It makes lovely desserts though waiting whilst they solidify a little in the freezer can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We've realised that keeping the bowl in the freezer all of the time works for us so that it's always ready. Otherwise it takes about 12 hours or so to become usable. We had a small issue with the order which customer services fixed really quickly. We were really grateful as they apologised, made no excuses and got it sorted asap which is all we would have asked for.

I've often wished I had an ice-cream maker but been put off by the cost. This little machine is a great intro and good value. It's easy to use, although the bowl is quite big to keep in the freezer all the time so you do need to plan ahead.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Makes great tasting ice cream quickly.

I've just bought this and only used it twice so far. First batch was following the recipe from the booklet for vanilla ice cream, and the 2nd one was some fat free yoghurt with chopped banana and strawberries. On both occasions the bowl had been in the freezer for around 24hrs so there was no problem with the temperature, however, the design doesn't lend itself to freezing the entire contents! What you end up with is a thin layer of rock hard mixture lining the bowl where the paddle isn't tight enough against the bowl, and the rest is a cold, unfrozen clump stuck to the rotating paddle

Lovely ice cream BUT the washing up required amounts to a lot. I tried to ring up to ask if there could be any adjustments to the recipe. The wait was intolerable and I lost the will to live. My ignorance perhaps, but I didn’t know that only egg yolks are required. We are getting weary of pavlovas and meringues. I’m not good at waste I. E. throwing them away!!!
