About KitchenAid Food Processors

Solidly made with an anti-slip base to give it extra stability, it has two optimised speeds and a pulse function.

"FANTASTIC MACHINE"

star star star star star

This food processor is another superb addition to the Kitchenaid range. It is strong, does exactly what it 'says on the tin', and very affordable. It is very solid so doesn't wobble when in use and unlike other reviews, I haven't had any problems washing it. As per the instructions, it can be put in the dishwasher on the top rack and then I normally leave it laid out on a tea towel overnight just to allow air into those small areas that get a bit steamed up. The only very small blip is that it doesn't come with a case for the attachments. TEN OUT OF TEN

"perfect item"

I have had a magimix for 25 years and yesterday i was bought the kitchen aid food processor. My Magimix still worked but was looking worse for wear. I love my new machine. The size, colour (I had the cream one) It is solid, easy to use and swapping of parts. I particularly like the adjustable slice width which alone makes it more versatile than my last one. Washing it by hand was easy and it looks fab on my work top. LOVE, LOVE, Love it.

"Fabulous"

I bought this to replace another famous brand mini processor. This machine is just great. The build quality is wonderful, it's heavy and will not move on the work surface. For the price it's a fair size machine. The seals are tight and washing up is pretty easy- I also air dry. I have not yet used all the attachments but it's made great pastry and chopped veggies in no time. To chop garlic, ginger, chilli ( run machine and add small things down tube). Oh and it does look nice :) Agree, a storage box for attachments would have been useful.

"Does the job, but . . ."

I use a food processor mostly for grating, chopping, etc. My old Cuisinart processor died and I replaced it with the Kitchenaid. It does the basic jobs just fine, but the main bowl is relatively small, the chopping blade centre column is large, so scraping down the sides is awkward. The controls require a HUGE amount of strength to turn on or off, so if you have arthritis, as I do, they are uncomfortable. I would never use the smaller inset bowl. It's very right-hand orientated, with the locking/opening on the right side of the bowl, and since I'm left handed, that's also awkward.

When making comparisons after long service from a different food processor, it's possible that we don't feel the features and benefits are quite meeting our expectations. The main bowl is 2.1 litres, so spacious enough for those regular kitchen tasks. The small bowl picks up the little batches of chopping, making pesto or sauces functions, without the need to purchase another electrical product. The control pads are best tackled by pushing, using your thumb, in the centre of each pad. We think you'll soon develop the correct pressure, but please let us know if it's still a concern. We can see how being left handed could make using the processor awkward, we'll be in touch soon to help.

"so dissappointed"

I bought this food processor from my local store in May and I can say I have never been so disappointed with a purchase from lakeland before. The food processor seems to struggle with the most basic of tasks, even chopping garlic and ginger. It just spins around the mini bowl and doesn't chop up, what little bit does chop up ends up in the other bowl. This means you have to clean everything regardless of which bowl you use! I tried to make pastry and pasta and failed miserably, the bowl just unlocks and turns itself off even though I have obeyed the max weight stated in the instructions.

We're sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with your food processor - looking at the nature of the problems you experienced, I think the trouble shooting page within the instruction booklet will help. We'll be in touch soon.
