Just manages to fit into my microwave of 25 Litres so I would recommend checking the height of your microwave vs the jug. It makes amazingly tasty popcorn cooked to perfection each time and you can make whatever flavour you want!
I found it worked better when butter wasn't added to the lid. Perfect air popped popcorn in 2 minutes. Would be better if slightly shorter as it only just fitted into my microwave.
I bought this popcorn maker today and was eager to come home and try it out; if it worked as promised, I was sure that I would use it often. However, I was badly let down by this device. I followed the directions to the letter. I used Orville Redenbacher popcorn, a quality brand. After two minutes I had no popped kernels. After four minutes, some had popped. I stopped after five minutes, and found I had a mess of burned corn that smelled awful. I shall return the thing tomorrow. Sad.

I'm not one for writing reviews, but this item is terrible, used the measurements on the lid Half the popcorn was burnt and the other half unpopped!! Tried it with oil yet the popcorn was still awful Don't waste your money on this.

I had an old Lakeland microwave popcorn maker for years. Thought I would 'upgrade' to this because it looked nicer. It is very tall and only just fits in my microwave but even if it does fit it is almost impossible to get between popped and on fire. And if you do manage to get popcorn out before it bursts into flames the jug handle is so hot as to be dangerous. Why on earth the handle isn't made of a better material! I've basically gone back to using a pan on the hob. This is one of the worst Lakeland buys I've ever made.
We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem and that the micro pop corn popper has not met your expectations with it's performance.We would suggest to other customers to try using this on a medium heat as all microwaves vary in power, this should help to produce better results. The handle is made of borosilicate glass so we'd suggest using a tea towel or heat resistant pad/oven glove when removing it from the microwave.
