Delonghi Drip Filter Coffee Machine

I am very pleased with this machine - so easy to use . I've had a few coffee makers over the years some more tricky to fill than others but this one is so straight-forward it's a joy.

We are pleased with this filter machine, an improvement on our previous coffee maker which stopped working. I cannot understand the review which says that it is difficult to pour from the carafe as we find it very easy and no drips. Coffee is tasty, filling is really easy and it is simple to clean - sleek with no nasty nooks and crannies. Two minus points: the coffee only stays hot for forty minutes, not long enough for this household. Also, the water level indicator is difficult to read, but is difficult to read on every coffee machine I have ever seen.

The water fill which can be achieved from the front by swinging the filter section forward works well but you have to be careful to keep coffee and water separate. Filter paper fits very well. However, pouring the water out of the jug to either fill the machine or coffee into cups is the worst I have had to put up with for years. Quite dreadful. You have to keep the jug perfectly parallel to the pour and only pour very, very slowly- otherwise it runs back and down the jug. Despite being quite new I am going to have to replace; using this jug is just too frustrating.
