Lakeland Ready Made Cake Frosting - 350g Chocolate Flavour

I purchased two tubs of this as I was making a version of the Ombré cake featured in the Lakeland e-magazine, which recommended this frosting. It was useless - would not spread on the cake at all, took out lumps of the cake surface as I tried to spread it. I had to make a late-night run to the supermarket to get ingredients for a chocolate ganache instead, as the cake was required for the following morning. Also the flavour is not very nice, an initial over-sugary taste succeeded by a chemically tang which I would not describe as chocolate. Very disappointed.

Agree with the previous review, although i have had bought a few times and it does tend to vary. have bought 4 packets of this as it was reduced might try letting it out with some mild or water next time.

I bought two tubs of this as my daughter was decorating cupcakes at school. She said it tasted horrible and was so thick it burst the piping bag!
