Vektra 1.2 Litre Kettle

I recently bought this kettle and I am very pleased with it . It takes a bit longer to boil than a higher wattage kettle but I don't mind that.i like 2 sometimes 3 mugs of tea within 1 to 3 hours and this kettle suits me fine and is still hot enough for me to have a good mug of tea I don't know how hot it would be nearer 4 hours because I have more or less used all the water by then but overall I think it's a good kettle,and from Lakeland I know it is a good buy,also I must add it's very quiet in operation and no steam at all when it's boiled on full capacity only a little steam when pouring,

I bought a 1.7 litre version of this kettle a few months ago and am very happy with it. It keeps the water very hot exactly as promised; which is great for me since I often get distracted, and make frequent cups of tea. Minor niggles are that pouring the water can take longer than a normal kettle since the insulation allows only a small flow with the lid on. If I am feeling impatient I now take the lid off and then pour. It is heavier than a normal kettle, hence I am now buying the smaller version for my elderly mother for Christmas. Overall I am very pleased.

This is an excellent idea and a pleasing design. I bought it for my husband, as he frequently boils the kettle but walks out before making the tea/coffee! so this was going to work well for him. But he found the twist off top difficult to operate also holding the lever down whilst pouring. So it is not for someone who likes things to be really quick and simple. Lakeland were wonderful and took it back.

This is an excellent kettle . It stops wasteful boiling as it won't switch on until the water temperature has fallen sufficiently . However after just over a year the pour leaver has broken , this makes it almost useless and a vert expensive purchase This makes me feel that it was overpriced

Bought this kettle this year from the Watford Lakeland store. Paid the full price for it which at the time considered rather expensive. Today it has broken and will not boil. I have been unable to find the receipt as yet also we need to travel over 15 miles to be able to return this to our nearest branch which is not the Watford store. Very dissapointed that a kettle costing over £60 has only lasted a few months. Not sure how we go about returning it. We would like a new kettle but not this make again.
