Mini Sandwich Press

These were on offer as freebies when I bought loose bottomed bun tins recently and didn't think they would be of any use to me. Until I was making Mary Berry's almond macaroons this morning and realised they'd be ideal for squashing the balls of mixture down on the rice paper (a product Lakeland doesn't stock incidentally and probably should). The mini sandwich press is ideal for flattening balls of any mixture - so much better than the spoon I used to use. Just remember to keep a little bowl of water to hand and dip it in there between macaroons to stop it all sticking.

I'm a crafter, work and volunteer with the elderly and all three sizes of these wonderful litte presses are brilliant to hold for hands with problems. Stamping with clear cling stamps is made so much easier. If I had the budget I would buy the lot!

When I saw this I thought you pressed a sandwich with it but I was wrong. It's for pressing mini cocktail sandwiches. It's too small for a large normal sandwich. It's also good to mush down stuff in your plughole. It gets shut of everything in your plughole. Squashed away. I wash it afterwards because it's mucky. Ideal for the busy business person to squash mini sandwiches (except square ones) and clear plughole. I don't know how I coped without one.
