"Fun bread"

star star star star star

My first loaf turned out well shaped, tasted great and was easy to cut. To use the tin effectively you need to mix and prove the dough in a separate bowl, then put the shaped loaf in the walnut pan for it's second rise. When ready to bake apply the lid turn the tin to bake on it's flat side. My bread turned out very easily as I had oiled the pan well. The finished result is impressive.

"perfect bread"

Made my first loaf today, it turned out of the tin with no problems, a perfect loaf with a good crust. Easy to use and a fun shaped loaf of bread.

"Lovely bread"

Made the fig & walnut loaf from the recipe in the catalogue and it is really good. I wish I had read the comments from Sue about the use of the lid as a base to bake the loaf before I baked it - I really couldn't see what the lid was for ! In the absence of any instructions I baked mine in the tin. As I say it turned out well and loaf was delicious . Next time, I'll use the lid as a base .

"A Nut To Crack"

Lovely olive green pan, hardy and tactile. Makes a superb, artisan, walnut shaped loaf. Moulds the dough accurately with fine definition. Only drawback is the poor instructions, also highlighted by other customers, -what to do with the lid- The dough should prove in the tin, after the first initial rising and knock back . The lid should be secured to the mould and the loaf baked upright, to support the loaf. This is not stated at all on the instructions with regard to the use of the tin and needs to be . I'm an experienced baker and it threw me at first. More clarity please Lakeland.

"Walnut Bread Pan"

Bought this pan a couple of weeks ago as my eye was caught by the shape of the tin. I followed the recipe included and was a bit puzzled by the use of the lid. The first prove I did in the mixing bowl and the second in the walnut pan - I was then undecided which way to bake it - thinking that all of the air would be knocked out by inverting it so I baked it lid up - balanced fairly well on the oven shelf and the result was amazing. It went so quickly I had to make more the next day! 4 stars as instructions were not clear but still a great product.
