I wish I had read the comments from Sue about the use of the lid as a base to bake the loaf before I baked it - I really couldn't see what the lid was for ! In the absence of any instructions I baked mine in the tin. As I say it turned out well and loaf was delicious . Next time, I'll use the lid as a base .
