We’re big fans of shallow frying and our stainless steel basket makes it even easier. Ideal for samosas, spring rolls, crispy fried chicken drumsticks, battered fish, vegetable tempura and much more, you simply lift the basket out of your frying pan to retrieve your food and drain away excess oil. It helps keep oil clean too, catching stray crumbs and batter.

I received this couple of days ago and used it tonight to shallow fry some prawns in batter. I am thrilled with it - the food was not greasy, it was really easy to remove from the frying pan and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
I bought one of these so as to fit a 28mm lidded frying pan sold by 'Lakeland'. The idea is good, but the bottom of the frying basket has 5 little dimples pressed into it to raise it slightly above the surface of a frying pan. Because these dimples are pressed into the pattern of holes of the frying basket there are some sharp edges, resulting on the dimples, which scratch away at the the non-stick surface of the frying pan. It hasn't quite been thought through and, until remedied, will ruin frying pans with protective coatings on them. Sorry, I'd like to have written a more positive review.
