Now even easier to use, the new Autostir can automatically stir your ingredients for you as it cooks, leaving you free to get on with other things. Not having to lift the lid during the slow-cooking process means less heat and moisture are lost so your food stays tender and succulent whilst retaining more nutrients and benefiting from a fuller flavour.

Perfect for making one-pot stews, chillis and curries or soups and sauces, you can choose one of two stirring paddles depending on your recipe and, after an initial delay of 2 hours to allow for ingredients to soften, the autostir function will stir for 5 minutes every half hour to ensure thorough mixing and even heating. Should the paddle encounter resistance while stirring food with a thicker consistency, it will automatically change direction in order to keep moving. If at any point you want to check the consistency of what you’re cooking, it’s easy to do this without lifting the lid, just press the quick stir button to continuously stir the bowl’s contents for a minute before automatically resuming the autostir programme. Fully interlocked for safety, all components must be securely in place for the slow cooker to switch on and, if the lid is removed while the autostir programme is running, the stirring paddle is automatically disabled until the lid is replaced.

Offering even greater flexibility than a standard electric slow cooker, this capable machine can be used with or without the autostir attachment and comes with a generously sized 5.7 litre stoneware pot which means it can comfortably cater for a family of six and is ideally sized for cooking larger joints of meat. Designed to make cooking as simple as possible, this new generation of Crock·Pot is quick to set up, straightforward to use and has two temperature settings, a programmable timer which can be set from 30 minutes to 20 hours as well as an automatic keep-warm function to ensure your meal stays warm for up to 4 hours after it’s cooked.
