Joseph Joseph Medium See-Through Surface Protector

Having had 2 large ones for about 9 years with no problems at all, still as good as new, I was pleased to find this one to fill an awkward gap. I now can put hot pans anywhere without worrying about damaging the worktops. I am surprised other people have had problems. However I have never put mine in a dishwasher. I mostly just wipe them down each day with a cloth or occasionally with hot water in a bowl but don't immerse them in water. I don't usually cut directly on them as I use fleximats as I find it easier then to flex them to put peelings in the bin.

I was initially really pleased with my purchase of both a large & a small protector. I was, however, disappointed to find that they are backed with a plastic film which also incorporates the feet. After a while the plastic came off the small one along with the feet. I really the same doesn't happen with the other one too.

Whilst I like the look of this product I am dissapointed to find after a short period of time the plastic coating is coming away on the underside. I appreciate the health & safety aspect of the design but there is an obvious flaw.

I found thgat after a while the plastic came away taking the feet with it. Now I am left with an unsatisfactory glass which fits close to the counter keeping it wet underneath. I need to buy a replacement but not if the same thing is going to happen. Sainsbury do something similar but with feet fixed secuely straight on to the glass

Purchased two of these worktop savers in store and I'm very disappointed to see that the clear plastic backing on both items is peeling off. Would not purchase these again unfortunately.
