Joseph Joseph Medium See-Through Surface Protector

Having had 2 large ones for about 9 years with no problems at all, still as good as new, I was pleased to find this one to fill an awkward gap. I now can put hot pans anywhere without worrying about damaging the worktops. I am surprised other people have had problems. However I have never put mine in a dishwasher. I mostly just wipe them down each day with a cloth or occasionally with hot water in a bowl but don't immerse them in water. I don't usually cut directly on them as I use fleximats as I find it easier then to flex them to put peelings in the bin.

After 9 months of very little use the protective backing is also coming away. I purchased this from Lakeland purely because it is a reputable firm. Is it possible to return it to the shop for an exchange hoping the replacement will be more durable?

Within 3 weeks of purchase, the plastic backing has come away from the surface of the protector making it difficult to use properly. I wish I had read the other reviews before I bought 2 of these boards. In my opinion, there is a fault with this product.

I, like the others who have written a review for this product, am extremely disappointed. I purchased the large version only to have the backing peel off. My local Lakeland, where I had bought it, replaced it and now, exactly the same thing has happened again! I did not expect this from a Joseph Joseph product!

Purchased two of these worktop savers in store and I'm very disappointed to see that the clear plastic backing on both items is peeling off. Would not purchase these again unfortunately.
