Very inspirational recipes with useful tips - can't wait to get started making chocolates
New to chocolate-making, I knew I'd need a helpful guide - and this book tells me all I need to know. The critical temperatures and how to temper chocolate are clearly explained. My only criticism is the format of the book - the pages are difficult to turn, and the printing on coloured background make it really difficult to read ... perhaps I'm just gettng older, but I have found it somewhat of a trial.
If you are new to making chocolates get this book. It is a great starting place and helped me create perfect chocolates the first time I tried.
This is probably a very good book. But sadly, it appears to have been designed by someone in their 20's or 30's who has superb eyesight. The size of the printed text is so small, I cannot read it without resorting at times to a magnifying glass. If it were re-designed, with a normal font size, I would buy it. I can read newspapers, and almost any book I choose to read. I have also designed and printed books myself. I cannot imagine what justification the designer had in mind, but they were certainly aiming the book at young cooks. A great pity.

this book is quite simply incredible! The instructions are so easy to follow that having never tempered chocolate I bought this book a short while ago and I've just given 10 boxes with 5 flavours of handmade chocolates for Christmas gifts and everyone thinks I bought them! Paul A Young gives clear, concise, easy to follow instructions for several fillings while encouraging you to try your own flavours, I've already done this and it worked really well. I'm a new fan and this book is my new bible!
