"Large cast iron mincer" star star star star star_border I have found that if you turn the handle slowly it minces very well but I found I was getting black bits in the meat, so I turned the handle more slowly, this seems to have stopped me getting black bits, I think the black bits may be carbonised fat due to friction, so by turning the handle slowly it seems to have stopped it happening, only time will tell. The instructions say spay the cutters with vegetable oil to prevent them going rusty, this did not work they still went rusty, so I coated them with vegetable oil and that seemed to work. If you are in a hurry go for the electric mincer.
"I was dissapointed." star star_border star_border star_border star_border I did not get on with this and have returned it. I found the meat was not pulled through even when I chopped it quite small and I was using the largest cutter. I did to try to push the meat in but found that a bit tricky. It kept getting clogged up where the meat comes, it just seemed not sharp enough to cut the fat effectively. Just not for me I'm afraid. support_agent A note from the team Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry the mincer didn't work as well as you were expecting.
