"Mrs Holmes" star star star star star What a fantastic cake pan. Definition is really good. We made a chocolate gluten, wheat and dairy free sponge and then decorated using the picture on the box as a guide. Same we can't upload finished picture. What a great 50th Birthday cake support_agent A note from the team Thanks for taking the time to write your review. "Awesome Cake Pan" star star star star star This cake pan is excellent. Sponge released easily from the pan using cake release and the detailing on the cake was amazing. I chose to frost the cake and then used the pan again to create the detailing in fondant by pressing pieces into the pan and placing them onto the cake. I then created a 'battle damaged' look with lustre dust. I've posted a pic onto the Lakeland facebook page as the end result was awesome. It was for my son's 15th birthday and he was over the moon. This cake pan was an excellent buy - easy to create a professional looking cake and I will recommend it to everyone.
"easy to create a masterpiece" star star star star star I am no baker. But it was my Star Wars obsessed boy's 5th birthday and, even though they're generally laughably rubbish, we like the sentiment and gesture of making our own birthday cakes. This was so easy to use. I used the easy release spray, which the lady recommended at till point. I followed the recipe posted by another reviewer on here and used the pan to press fondant details. I have already loaned this out to two other mums (sorry Lakeland!) and one suggested silver spray for next time. We also put sparklers in the back as an engine. Son was delighted. A masterpiece! Thanks
"Great pan" star star star star star This pan produces a very detailed cake. If you frost it, the detail is lost. I baked the cake, then lined the entire pan with fondant (after corn starch). I let that sit for two hours, and then carefully turned the silicone pan over and flopped the fondant Millennium Falcon directly onto the cake Millennium Falcon. It worked pretty darn well, but my photo doesn't show it. Then I just used lustre dust to paint some detail and damage onto it. Finally, I added Lego pieces because a four year-old wanted a Lego Star Wars cake.
"This has the wow factor!" star star star star star I tried 2 attempts - the first was a chocolate cake, chocolate icing and then white icing on top. It went well & looked OK, but I knew u could do better! Second attempt - I made 2 chocolate cakes from the mould and sandwiched them together with chocolate ganache (I should say at this stage, my son (7) only likes chocolate!) I sprayed the cakes silver and then added detail with fondant icing- white & black. Result was wow! One happy boy! I am not a cake maker and so if I can do this, anyone can! I will try and post a photo. support_agent A note from the team Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad the cake pan worked so well.
