When you look at this cake stand online it looks like glass, even though I just noticed in the description that it's acrylic. It's light as a feather & looks great. The smaller one up close looked a bit too small that's why I went for this one.
I bought this to use as a wedding cake stand and was delighted how it looked. Although it’s made of acrylic it’s looks just like glass - there’s absolutely nothing ‘plasticky’ about its appearance. It’s nice and light in weight, making it easy to carry - and not as fragile as glass would be. An excellent purchase!
Lovely versatile cake stand - bought this one and the smaller so could stack to use as a two tier cupcake stand as well as individual cake stands. Bought to replace my near identical glass stands - so much safer with 2 teenagers. Very pleased as they look like glass and not at all plasticky but much safer. Would recommend.
A durable stand that looks expensive. Much more practical to have around the home compared to a glass or China cake stand.
I chose this acrylic cake stand rather than glass, its lightweight and I have no worries about chipping or breakage - especially as it will be used mainly at children's parties. I am considering buying the smaller size too
