Lakeland 12.5m Sausage Skins - For Up To 60 Sausages 5 "Very good" Mr Howard 03 March 2019 These skins are very good if you follow the instructions and exercise patience when making your sausages. I made my first batch of sausages yesterday and had to learn through trial and error. Basically, have two people making them - one turning the handle on the sausage maker, the other guiding the skins. The key is not to overfill the skin because that's when they can split and it's difficult to put the twists into each batch. Also leave at least three inches to tie off the ends. Take your time and it's a breeze!
Lakeland 12.5m Sausage Skins - For Up To 60 Sausages 5 "Excellent Skins" Mr Sayles 02 March 2019 I must have purchased at least 20 packets of these skins over the last year a half. They have really worked well for the types of sausage that I make. A chorizo style. I'm not sure why so many people moanng about these skins not fitting there machine. Most sausage machines have different nozzles, or its possible to buy different nozzles. In 20 packs, while there have been a couple splits, this hasn't hindered me in anyway. The consistency of all packs being the same means I have learnt to make the sausages to suit the skins. 5 stars well earnt!
Lakeland 12.5m Sausage Skins - For Up To 60 Sausages 5 "These are brilliant." Catherine Gee 19 August 2016 Bought in store. On the downside, they don't fit on the nozzle of my Kenwood. However, it's very easy to pull a length over the nozzle and make about six at a time. The easiest method is to tie off the casing, fill it until it's firmly stuffed to one sausage length, then twist and carry on filling. I had no splitting, the sausages looked great and were easy to handle. They were very tender to eat and, despite the fact that I had a couple of air bubbles in the sausages (not caused by the casing), they did not split on cooking. This was my first time making sausages, I would use these again.
