"What's wrong with everyone?"

star star star star star

I don't understand how people are struggling with this thermometer for a fridge? Anything you buy with a perspex screen has a film to save it getting scratched. I say with a smile on my face but I'm no longer a young woman, and was taught that any fridge should not be below 2C, or it will freeze at 0C and be nearly frozen at 1C, and not anything above 4C or 5C. I have a very old thermometer for my freezer but it's not run on batteries, and must say never thought of putting this one in the freezer. But for the fridge, it is excellent, and hygenic. So well done Lakeland again!

"Good Product"

I don't know why people have been having problems with this product. It's very easy to use, two buttons - On/Off' and 'C/F'. Taking the sticker off the front, which is for display purposes only is self explanatory / common sense, come on people. Product does what it says on the tin very well. Another good product from Lakeland.

"Unclear instructions"

The display is easy to read, but the instructions are not. On the front is a printed plastic strip, which has to be peeled off; this is not mentioned in the instructions. The instructions refer to a power button and a temperature button, but do not say what they do. (And they are really too small to see what is inscribed on them.) The power button is straightforward (on or off) but the temperature button is not; it should be explained that it toggles between Fahrenheit and Centigrade. So far as I can judge, the thermometer gives accurate readings.

"Some product development needed"

This review is for an older version of this product

A nice little item. No issues until I came to change the battery. With the new one (an Energiser CR2025) inserted, the slider compartment refuses to stay closed, so a tiny difference in the battery recess profile must be affecting the clip closure inside. Needs a tweak to the battery seating to ensure it accommodates the popular battery brands, as they are not cheap and I do not want to spend £5 a go trying different brands until I find one that fits. The original "Freego" brand is rather obscure, evidently.

"Fridge thermometer"

star star star star_border star_border

A nicely designed and made product let down by lack of attention to detail: At 50C a fridge would be well on the way to being an oven! -19.9C is not low enough as others have pointed out. Perhaps -30C to +30C? Next: why all the waffle about mixing batteries when there is only one and it is a Li coin cell? Finally: I have excellent eyesight but it took me a long while to find the minute clear tab that enabled removal of the pseudo temperature display. To end on a more positive note it gives a clear and accurate reading, but PLEASE improve the things I and others have pointed out to you.
