Touch Screen Timer

Very easy to use with large touch screen buttons and the visual is extremely easy to read. Excellent value for money.

This timer is easy to use and it has a handy magnet on the back to attach it to a fridge door or other metal surface. The only downside is the fact that the display goes 'dull' after a shirt while, which is presumably an energy saving feature, but it does make it more difficult to read without tapping the screen again. However, this does not detract from how good the item is.

We already had a kitchen timer but the display is black on grey so in some lighting conditions I found it difficult to see. I wanted something which had a much greater level of visibility. This timer initially delivers on that score. But here's the problem. After about 40 seconds the display switches itself into a power saving mode and goes from bright and visible to black on grey. It can be activated again by tapping the screen on the m or the s but that defeats the object for me. I wanted this to be able to bring together various elements of cooking, but it is not suitable for that.

On the good side this is simple and easy to operate. On the other hand, as others have commented, the screen goes dark after about 4-5 seconds even of you are in the middle of setting the time which is pretty annoying. Needs a redesign.

I really struggle with the fact you can't see it count down to the end because the screen light cuts out after a few seconds. And while you can tap the screen to bring it back, I've had a few instances where the 'tap' has reset the timer and I've lost where I'm up to! Since it was bought as a gift not much I can say, but I wouldn't recommend it
