Lakeland Decorating Cakes Book

I was brought this book as a gift from my daughter for christmas and it really is a cake book worth treating yourself to. The Contents of this book covers from what Equipment is needed or worth buying to get you started with decorating your cakes. There are some great Recipes from easy, experienced or expert level for cakes, cupcakes and cookies, frostings & Icings. There are Tips and Techniques, patterns and a step by step guide on how to decorate a stunning cake no matter what your level of experience may be. I recommend this to book to any cake maker I luv it.

I find this book very inspirational, it has various cake recipes with different ingredients and sizes, for beginners and advanced bakers. Totally recommend it.

I brought this book as it said it contained step by step instructions, from novice to expert & being Lakeland I trusted the claim. Having attempted to follow this book twice I have to acknowledge defeat, instructions are not step by step, eg their are no instructions for piping the meringue used in Lemon Meringue cupcakes. I had to throw the mixture away & start again using my old tried & tested method. I am very keen to learn how to make flowers but the instructions are minimal in this area. I am now looking to buy an alternative book that will provide the step by step instruction I wanted.
