Lace-Look Silicone Icing Mat - Square

I bought this along with the other mat and the magic icing powder, costing much less than other brands! I wanted to see if I could manage this intricate looking edible lace... and I was so amazed at how easy it was. Such beautiful results - from the very first attempt. The only thing that went a little bit wrong was that I wasn't very patient, so at first tried to peel the mat off before it was properly dry. How much easier it was when I had left it overnight. Also, the amount suggested on the tub of powder actually is enough to make 2 of the large and 2 of the small mats!

Lovely product -very easy to use- worked well in the oven for 6 minutes. Even guessed the temperature of the water ! 100 g makes 54 lace circles - I might half the quantity to make less next time.

I was given this along with the magic powder for my birthday. 1st attempt was a disaster, 2nd attempt slight improvement but 3rd attempt when I baked it in the oven for the EXACT TIME was a complete success. I made my grandaughters christening cake, iced in pale pink with white lace - really pleased with final result. Susan Knight

After reading the reviews I would try this, I placed mine in the oven for 6mins on 120 degree and they came out fantastic! I also left a batch to air dry, it says for 3 hours, I left mine overnight and in the morning they still weren't set. I have stuck to putting them in the oven and they look great on the finishing of the cake.
