Yolk Hero

How sad is it to be really pleased, thrilled, even delighted with a kitchen accessory? Answer: Very. However . . I (and my husband), are absolutely amazed with the YOLK HERO. What a cracking (sorry) little gizmo it is. We were totally amazed when we tested it out today. It did exactly what it said it would on the wrapper! Not only did it suck up the yolk but it sucked it up without a trace of the egg white attached to it. Brilliant when you need every drop of egg white for meringues or macaroons. I can already think of 3 friends that will be finding a YOLK HERO under the tree this Christmas.

I have to admit I was pretty sceptical about this product but since it is relatively inexpensive I thought I would give it a go. I used it for the first time yesterday and it was so easy to use and did exactly what it said it would. In a matter of seconds I had separate yolks and whites. I will be recommending this to many many people :)

I have been unable to eat egg white since I was a baby. The smell of cooked white nauseates me, so when I saw this little gizmo, I thought I'd give it a go. It's absolutely brilliant. I bought some egg poaching papers to cook my yolks in, and now I can thoroughly enjoy poached yolks on toast without having to smell cooked whites! My little grandaughter also dislikes like egge white and has demanded one of these for Mummy from Santa! It really does hoover up the yolk without breaking it. Occasionally a tiny amount of white gets vacuumed in, but generally my yolks are white-free.

I have just tried this and was amazed at the result. It is so easy and absolutely fantastic! No mess and a very easily separated egg. Will be buying for relative as stocking fillers next Christmas.
