Lakeland Multichef 2L Food Processor Blender and Multi Cooker

Product number: 17662

  • THE multi-functional kitchen appliance.
  • Grind, chop, blend, mix, whip, knead, steam, simmer and even stir-fry – makes light work of so many tasks.
  • Straightforward controls and clear LCD display make it really easy to use.

Food processors, blenders, stand mixers, soup makers, steamers… if your countertops are strewn with a mind-boggling multitude of kitchen kit and you want to streamline your collection, look no further – the MultiChef is set to replace all those space-hungry appliances.

Making light work of so many tasks in the kitchen, we know you’re going to love the truly multi-functional MultiChef. It’s a processor that grinds and chops; it’s a blender for sauces or smoothies; it mixes pastry, beats batter, whips cream and kneads dough; it makes soup from scratch; it’s a steamer or a pasta cooker; it can even be used for stir-fries and rice.

With all these different functions, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the MultiChef might be difficult to use, but straightforward controls and a clear LED display mean that’s far from being the case. There’s a simple on/off button, then three no-nonsense dials let you select one of 10 processing speeds or turbo; choose a cooking temperature from 40°C to 130°C and set the timer up to 60 minutes – what could be easier?

It will soon earn pride of place on your worktop and, once there, will take up much less space than all those other appliances. And don’t just take our word about how impressive the MultiChef is – if you’re interested in learning more about this multi-talented worktop wonder, check out Anne Shooter's review in the Daily Mail

Comes with a 2 litre stainless steel jug, steamer basket, mixing tool and heat-resistant spatula. Recipes incl.

"Bargain price in sale"

This review is for an older version of this product

Good sturdy machine. Easy to use and clean. It is a new method so follow tips in very basic book. It leaks if liquid is too hot. Good blender. Recipes for Multichef can be found on Internet for machines, such as Bellini or Thermomix. It is a money saver, tangy marmalade about 50p a jar with 50% less sugar. Soup made from veg including the tougher bits. Chopped or blended. Perfect Soft/hard boiled Eggs in inner basket. Desserts of frozen fruit, egg white, etc. blended. I like the control of cooking low to higher temperatures and exact timing and stirring so no forgetting what is cooKing!

"Wasn't sure at first but now I love it!"

When I first received the machine I decided to make a leek and potato soup... It leaked everywhere (because I had filled it too full) and then I used pulse instead of blend which sent hot soup all over me and my kitchen, I was not impressed and was about to send it back. However, I decided to do more research, knowing it is a similar type of machine to more expensive models used by chefs and by lots of people in Australia. Now I use it for all sorts of things: bread, homemade stock cubes, jam, BBQ sauce, curries etc. It is so useful and it's a huge bargain at this price!

"Well worth the money & fantastic customer service"

Love my new machine, use it for jams, sauces, cakes, all-in-one dinners, it's endless. Instruction/recipe leaflet basic but recipes for for other makes of machines from online sources can be used with ease. The seal on the lid is not the best at high speed but now I know not an issue and Lakeland were happy to exchange the whole machine for me to test another, received the new one before arranging for the courier to collect the old one FOC - great service. Hopefully in the future more recipes for this brand will be released and add on components like the other brands are about to have.

I am not an experienced cook by any means and I bought the Multichef purely because of a disability in I have difficulty in creaming, mixing etc. and my Food processor and mixer took up too much kitchen space. As has been noted in other reviews, the instruction booklet is not very informative. Lakeland staff helped quite a bit but I wanted a comprehensive recipe book to which I could refer. I eventually found one, advertised on a very similar product to the Lakeland MultiChef, and that has an extensive recipe book online.

"Good, but expect a steep learning curve !"

This was an impulse buy, having been tempted by the bargain price!. I did some online research first so I was prepared for its limitations. In my opinion, this is a good quality, well-built machine, let down by the instructions and recipes that come with it which are very poor, and in some instances, inaccurate. This machine appears to be a slightly modified version of one that is sold elsewhere for around £750, and even professional reviewers of that model say it takes lots of trial and error to learn how to use it - but agree that it is worth the time and effort. Worth a try at this price!
