It may look like our cakes were painstakingly hand-painted, but they were created with barely any effort… Just place one of these intricate, laser-cut stencils over your icing, roll gently with a rolling pin, and dust with edible silk or lustre powder. Lift the stencil, and reveal the elegant design – it’ll look like you’ve put such a lot of effort into decorating your cupcakes, but it’s remarkable simple to do. We love them!

I bought this set last week and tried it today. I am pretty new to sugarcraft etc so I couldn't get the stencil to stick to the sugarpaste very well for whatever reason (I did use a rolling pin). Nevertheless I am quite happy with my purchase and the results I had using the stencil. Would buy again.
I've used the stencils 3 times and found them easy and fun to use. I had no problem at all achieving the pattern shown on the pictures by using a rolling pin designed for use with icing, and a small brush for dusting. The effects were stunning, such that I've ordered another stencil and some more edible silk in different colours.
Very nice design, a little wasted on me since I also bought a large cake stencil which is similar in effect. Be warned; this is not huge and would not work easily for a normal cake size.
I thought the packs contained 2 different stencils in each as there are always more than one, usually very similar, patterns in the pictures, but there are actually 2 stencils of the SAME design in each pack. Apart from that disappointment it is a good product.
I'm very disappointed with this stencil, I order 2 different types expecting them to be for a cake as the"title said". It seems that they are really for cupcakes and not for cakes as such. Oh well! I have learn a lesson, :-( read the whole thing, don't just go by the title. :-(. They were for a birthday present, so I'm now a bit on a rush to think of something else. :-(
