Silicone Pan Separator

Bought this item as I cook for 3 and we all like different veg, so I thought this would be ideal. I followed the instructions. I didn't find that it took too long to cook the veg but I did find was that it was too far down in the pan that the steam was hot when trying to take the lids off the check if cooked. I also found that when you lifted it out of the pan coz it was made of silicone and when hot becomes more pliable therefore unsuitable with the hot water. I found it was impossible to drain. May be could be made with drainage holes so that it automatically drains when lifted.

Thought this would be a good idea as I cook for 1. First time I used it it took over 40 minutes to cook a few veg. I had to turn my oven down as other food was spoiling. I've kept on using this product thinking I would get used to it but I haven't (even using hot water to start with). Because it was taking so long to heat up I was forever topping up the saucepan so it didn't run dry. Not one of my better buys, will end up in the cupboard with my other goods ideas. I agree with the other reviewer that this seemed like a good idea but it really does take far too long to cook anything. After having trouble on the first time we used it I looked at the website and saw the reply to the review. We followed the instructions and used boiling water, the water under the separator was bubbling away but the water in the divisions took a long time to come to the boil. It is very frustrating and I feel I have wasted my money.
