Stainless Steel Whole Hard Boiled Egg Slicer

I notice very low reviews for this but I found it an excellent cutter for eggs...never used it for mushrooms...found it easy to clean as well... However...I bought one of these and after one years use some of the wires have come away. The reason why I've given a 5 star review is I found it very useful and it also has a 3 year guarantee so will taking it into store for a replacement...

I wouldn't say this handy little gadget is a kitchen essential but it certainly makes life easier. It slices a boiled egg in a second and gives great results every time. For the price, I think everyone should have one!

Says on the tin that it could be used to cut eggs and mushrooms, well you can't because of the design. Cuts eggs perfectly but anything else including mushrooms remain stuck at the last point as the wires donot go fully across. I have seen better designed ones but will keep this for eggs.

Used this once for a large egg and have been left with small bits of egg "trapped" in top part where it is impossible to remove - although pouring water onto it moves them about, but still can't get at the pieces. What now?

We bought this egg slicer in the summer to replace one we bought from a supermarket about ten years ago. After using it for about five times the first wire detached from its fixing rendering it useless. Reading earlier reviews on this product this is not a one off accurance and it clearly is not fit for purpose. Very disappointed, would expected better from Lakeland.
