Fancy a Victoria sandwich that actually looks like a giant jam sandwich? It tickled our fancy, so we just had to include this quirky mould. Sorry to spoil the fun, but it’s so big that we don’t think you should eat the whole ‘slice’!
Takes a 4-egg sponge mix.
Oven safe up to 230°C.

Fun, quirky, easy to use and the end result looked just like photo. I used a 3 egg mix and not 4 as recommended so it wasn't quite as deep but that was still ample. I greased with cake release, it didn't stick and turned out easily. Cutting the cake in half was the most difficult part and it was wonky - just like a normal uncut loaf! Very pleased, I will be using this a lot, it's brilliant.
We loved the design of the cake mould as soon as we saw it on the lakeland app. Can you recommend how long to bake the 'sandwich' for using the 4 egg cake mix and on what temperature please?

Was a bit skeptical about this mould, how wrong was i it is superb and it does give the results as illustrated, if you are thinking about getting one do so before they stop doing them, don't know why though, superb item.
Brought this last week, only flaw is was hoping a recipe woud be included. it does state 'use a 4 egg recipe', but no cooking guideline given. My first cake has now been in the oven for 3/4 hour!! Very excited about the finished product though!!
