If you love crisps but don’t want the calorie content, here’s the answer. In as little as three minutes, you can be enjoying fat-free, home-made crisps from your microwave. Use the Topchips vegetable slicer to cut super-thin slices of potato, sweet potato, carrots, apples, pears or mangoes, arrange them on the two stackable silicone trays and then pop them in the microwave. No oil is required, but you can experiment with adding your own herbs and spices after cooking.

I was a bit dubious but it's brill! The lower level browns more than the upper. Kids dived in with no complaints. Just have to get the flavourings sorted. I think I will have to crush salt into a powder as straight from the salt cellar doesn't work.
We purchased this purely for potato crisps as I am a crisp addict and want to lose some weight, it takes some practice with times but I have it down to a fine art now and the crisps are really good, I find that once the potato is flat and flush to the slicer they get better, I do find the guard pretty useless though as it doesn't stick in the potato so i'm just extra careful when slicing, I also find you need to season first not after as the seasoning doesn't stick to the crisps. A real life saver for a dieter, I took some to my slimming club and they loved them,well done lakeland.
Lakeland does it again! Top Chips is very easy to use, slicer works a treat, but what I'm most happy about is not only does this make great potato crisps, I can also make the apple crisps I love but can't find anywhere. Apple crisps made with Top Chips taste identical to the ones I used to buy. Now there's a use for the more inexpensive, tasteless apples which work a treat - 3 small Gala apples make enough for my partner & myself. Making takes a bit of work but, hey-ho, at least I'm burning up calories! Thank you for another super product backed up by your peerless customer service.
It works well if you place the fruit or vegetables round the edge rather than using the middle. I also found if you were "cooking" carrots I needed to turn them half-way through again as the middle cooked quicker than the edge. Maybe it is my microwave.
