Ever wondered how professional bakers create impressive topsy turvy cake towers? Well, the secret’s all in these heavy duty, silver anodised aluminium tins that give you an entirely new angle on baking.

Cleverly, they have a leg that holds the tins level in the oven and, as they offer such fantastic heat distribution with no hotspots, they turn out perfect sponges with sloped tops, all ready for stacking with absolutely no carving required. "Topsy Turvy Cake Tins"

This review is for an older version of this product

Very impressed with this product. It looked quite small on the picture but when they arrived the cake tins were huge! We needed a 9 egg mix to fill the bottom layer. The cake came out of the tin really well and we were really pleased with the result. We wouldn't recommend filling the cakes as that made them a bit slippy and we needed to put a chop stick through it to hold it in place. The tins are very well made and sturdy and we are looking forward to making many more topsy turvy cakes.

"fab for all occasions"

I received these 3 cake tins as a gift from my parents for Christmas and I love them! Not only have I made a beautiful 3 tier topsy turvy cake but I've made individual slanted cakes for birthdays with the individual tiers! A real investment, fun, creative and well worth the money!

"good for newbies"

These tins are great for newbies but if you want to make a real topsy turvy shaped cake, the sides need to be carved too. The shallow sides bake more quickly than the deep sides giving an uneven finish.

Thank you for placing your review. We're sorry you experienced an uneven finish. There is a tip on the packaging advising that due to the shape of the cake pan and the pan being made from anodised aluminum it may be beneficial to reduce the cooking temperature within the oven by 20-25c to ensure the cake bakes evenly. We do hope this helps gain better results.
