"Cooking Bible"

My mother always had this book as I grew up, and it was always the first book to look in for any recipe. My brother and I both left for university with a copy of our own, and I honestly don't know what I'd do without it! It's the perfect all-rounder book - even my housemates rely upon it for any kitchen queries, reliable recipes or culinary inspiration! The most reliable cookbook I have ever found.

I've come late to Mary Berry - after watching The Great British Bake Off and The Mary Berry Story - but I'm so glad I bought this book. No gimmicks, the food takes centre stage. Great variety, loads of straightforward advice and photos. I have many cookbooks but this is by far the best, and great value for money.
