"Super pan!"

Although a very reasonable price, this is a good quality, well made pan. It has a good thick base which enables even heating and prevents anything sticking or burning. I particularly like using it for sauce making. The double spout is useful and it pours well! Full marks!

"performance on induction hobs"

star star star star_border star_border

This is a good solid little pan and is advertised as induction friendly. It does work slowly so I compared it with a small stainless steel pan using first the same depth of water and also with a measured pint of water. The time taken by the lakeland pan to a rolling boil in both experiments was well over twice that taken by the stainless steel pan. Therefore I assume used double the energy.

"Room for improvement"

For a basic range product, this is a well-made pan: it has weight, the non-stick coating is long-lasting, and it has two spouts which allows both right and left handers to use it. However, there is one very annoying thing about it which makes it hard to use - the spouts are far too shallow and, no matter how I try to angle it while pouring, milk always dribbles down the side of the pan and onto work surfaces. If the pan had deeper spouts it would be perfect.

"Do not buy for an induction hob"

star star star_border star_border star_border

This item was bought for my mother in law and did not work at all on either of her induction hobs, including one that was bought from Lakeland, rendering it useless. Very disappointing as we had travelled near enough 40 miles to purchase it

support_agent A note from the team

Thanks for placing your review. We're sorry that the pan hasn't worked on your induction hob and will be in touch shortly. We hope that the following information may help customers: Induction hobs will only produce heat when a suitable pan is placed upon the heating zone. Only ferrous (magnetic) utensils will work on induction hobs. Cast iron is the perfect material and some stainless steel, depending upon the iron content, is also suitable. To check the utensil, apply a magnet to the base of it. If it attaches solidly the pan will work, if the magnet feels loose or does not attach the pan will not work. The pan size should always closely match the size of the heating zone but not exceed it. It may be smaller than the zone but in general terms not smaller than 60% of the diameter of the zone.In this case, the pan may be too small to trigger the sensor in the hob.

"Sheila Wilson"

I bought this pan, and the larger one, to use on my new induction hob. The larger one is fine but this small one took 20 minutes to "almost" boil water for eggs in the pan despite using the highest setting. By this time the eggs were actually almost hard boiled. I feel the reason is probably because the pan is so small it doesn't cover enough of the smallest ring on my hob. I can't fault the quality of the pans and will make good use of the larger one.
