Well what a difference from the strawberry version! This is lovely orange marmalade ideal for those who prefer it without the bits. Lovely orange flavour and sets perfectly!
If you want to make something out of the ordinary, especially as a gift, try adding very ripe kiwi fruit at the start of the cooking process and if you like cranberries try them (dried and reconstituted in orange juice) with the strawberry conserve puree. Something different and attractive for people who say they don't like jam!
Have made two lots now - one lemon and one orange no peel. Really pleased - easy to follow, simple instructions and it does set really well. Love the lemon but as I am a bit of a wimp with really bitter marmalade, at the end I added two teaspons of orange extract and wow, what a difference it made. Dont know why it worked but not as bitter and gives it a real tang. Really impressed (and guess what people are getting for christmas!)
I have never made any kind of jam before but this was so easy to make. The instructions are easy to follow and the marmalade tastes amazing not too sour. Was a huge hit with my 2 and 3 year olds who love this now on their toast after trying some of mine. Will definitely buy again and will make for family to go in hampers at Christmas time. Going to try the lemon next to make my mum for mothers day :)
this is by far he best marmalade I have ever tasted. Our family prefer "no peel" and this is so tangy and easy to make. It is nice to "make your own" and I don't tell anyone that I cheat a little - who wants to peel piles of oranges when this is so good.
