"a real disappointment"

I'm glad it's not only me - I thought the endless coffee grounds in the cup was operator error but no!

We're sorry to hear you've experienced this problem - our buying team have advised coarse coffee must be used to achieve great results in the fresh press. We'll be in touch soon to help.

"Very unsatisfactory"

As other people have pointed out this is really not worth the money. The seal is not tight enough and coffee grains end up in the coffee cup even using coarser ground coffee. The only solution is to use a tea strainer when pouring. Really not what I would expect from Lakeland.

"disappointing"

I have tried several different grinds and no matter what I do coffee grounds still end up in my cup. I have had better results with an £8 supermarket pot.

"Really disappointed!"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

A lovely cafetiere but with a fatal design flaw - the plunger is slightly too small for the glass, and lets a large number of grounds through into the coffee. There seems to be no way around this, short of using a tea strainer as well. We grind our own beans, on the coarsest setting so buying coarse ground coffee as the buying team suggest in the comments below will not help - this seems to be a pretty basic design fault! Really sad as it is a lovely cafetiere and the groundskeeper worked really well, but this just doesn't work as well as our cheap and cheerful cafetiere!

"Very poor"

star star_border star_border star_border star_border

I've had a similar experience to the other reviewers. The grind of the coffee doesn't appear to make much difference to the amount of grounds that come through. The reviewer that said that the silicone seal is too small is spot on. Very poor product from a company that generally produces good ones and seriously expensive to boot. Do not buy.
