Our stainless steel Flavour Injector comes with two injection nozzles – the smaller is perfect for infusing cooking juices back into meat to keep it moist and succulent, while the larger one can be used to inject herbs, lemon juice or marinades.
Equally useful for filling home-made doughnuts with jam or for feeding fruit cakes, the easy-to-use syringe is calibrated up to 45ml for accurate measuring.

"Didn't work for me"

Hoped this would be good for feeding the cake at intervals prior to Christmas. Was very disappointed to find the needle immediately got clogged up with cake and the brandy then, under the build-up of pressure, oozed out from where the needle met the tube & made a mess (+ waste of brandy)! I hadn't inadvertently drawn cake back up into the syringe but it was completely blocked & took a length of wire to free it up. Unfortunately the large needle would have made holes in the cake that would be too big. The large needle performed better basting chicken but I found it made the meat greasy.

Hoped this would be good for feeding the cake with brandy at various intervals. Was disappointed to find needle got clogged up with cake immediately & the brandy then, under pressure, oozed out at the top & made a mess! I hadn't inadvertently drawn cake back up into the syringe but it was completely blocked & took a length of wire to free it up. The thicker needle would leave v.large holes in the cake, I feel. I may see how well it performs basting a chicken, otherwise it will be going back.

I bought this for cake feeding without thinking to read the reviews. Mistake! I too have found problems with blockages and holes in the cake. It's a shame it doesn't work to the usual Lakeland standard.
