Lightweight Cast Aluminium 24cm Casserole

Great pan, really light and performs as well as my cast iron pan with the added advantage of being able to lift it when full. Non stick surface remarkable rinses and wipes clean even with baked on food.

I held off buying this but I'm so enjoying using it now. Yes, the handles get hot but I quickly got used to that. It is a great size for casseroles and stews and is a dream to wash as nothing sticks!

I bought this to replace my Le Creuset casserole, which I was struggling to lift out of a hot oven and which I was finding difficult to handle even when empty. I'm delighted. It's weight is negligible and it's a doddle to clean. Now I see there's a smaller size, I'm off to buy one of those too.

I bought the 24cm version of this item last year and have used it a lot. It works perfectly on my induction hob. I only had glass dishes before which can't go on the hob. Now I start food on the hob then straight into the oven, less to wash up. I have arthritis in hands and wrists and can't lift heavy cast iron dishes but this one is light enough for me to lift from hob to oven without much effort or pain. The handles and lid knob get hot but the use of oven gloves solves the problem. Tin foil makes a tighter seal of the lid if necessary. I am very pleased with this casserole dish.

I have looked at these for some time and was concerned that they would be too heavy. Having experienced the cast iron ones on holiday which went with the Aga and found I could hardly lift them, I was concerned these would be the same. No the pan is so light and another great big plus, so easy to clean.
