Silicone Mini Madeleine Mould

Product number: 16437

If you're not 'in the know' yet, here's why silicone gets our vote; it conducts heat better than metal so cakes cook quicker and more evenly, and being amazingly non-stick, even the most delicate, complicated shapes pop out with ease.

With this in mind, knowing that it would be just perfect for more delicate specialities and individual desserts, we decided to put together a comprehensive range of silicone bakeware to cater for every kind of little treat. And, as if all the practical benefits weren't enough, take a look at our bright and breezy colours - who says kitchenware has to be dull?

"Silicone Mini Madeleine Mould"

star star star star_border star_border

I recently bought this item after much pleading from my daughter. I am not a fan of using silicone bakeware but on first use was pleasantly surprised that the madeleines were easy to remove after baking. Unfortunately it is not all good news. I found the silicone difficult to handle as it is so flexible and needs to sit on a baking tray to avoid falling through the oven shelf. Also, the final madeleines did not have very pronounced markings which was very disappointing. I now find myself wishing I had bought the metal tin instead.

"Mini sweet treats"

Just made 3 batches of mini madeleines, I used a James Martin recipe and once I got the hang of filling the moulds they came out lovely. My tip would be to fill a piping bag with the batter and use that to fill the moulds, makes it much easier. Will definitely be making more of these.

I bought this mould recently and made Orange Madeleines today. The mould was great and the Madeleines came out of the mould really easily; although the detailing wasn't very pronounced.

"An easy treat!"

I have always been skeptical about baking with silicone products, but was so impressed with the new silicone mini madeleine tray I have recently purchased! All the madeleines cooked evenly and came out with ease, enabling me to quickly put another tray in the oven. I look forward to using this product many times in the future! Thank you Lakeland! "Mini marvels"

Hi! I bought this and have now made two types of madeleines with them - one sweet(ish) and one savory - and both times the mould was brilliant. Didn't stick at all, cooled down very quickly so you can refill and get a new batch in the oven pronto and didn't produce a cake with a discolored 'bottom' as I read a lot of mini moulds cause when you have them on a metal tray (necessary given the flex in the tray). I've just ordered another as they are a bit fiddly until you get into a rhythm of filling them.
