Silicone Mini Madeleine Mould

Hi! I bought this and have now made two types of madeleines with them - one sweet(ish) and one savory - and both times the mould was brilliant. Didn't stick at all, cooled down very quickly so you can refill and get a new batch in the oven pronto and didn't produce a cake with a discolored 'bottom' as I read a lot of mini moulds cause when you have them on a metal tray (necessary given the flex in the tray). I've just ordered another as they are a bit fiddly until you get into a rhythm of filling them.

I have always been skeptical about baking with silicone products, but was so impressed with the new silicone mini madeleine tray I have recently purchased! All the madeleines cooked evenly and came out with ease, enabling me to quickly put another tray in the oven. I look forward to using this product many times in the future! Thank you Lakeland! Just made 3 batches of mini madeleines, I used a James Martin recipe and once I got the hang of filling the moulds they came out lovely. My tip would be to fill a piping bag with the batter and use that to fill the moulds, makes it much easier. Will definitely be making more of these.

I bought this mould recently and made Orange Madeleines today. The mould was great and the Madeleines came out of the mould really easily; although the detailing wasn't very pronounced.

I recently bought this item after much pleading from my daughter. I am not a fan of using silicone bakeware but on first use was pleasantly surprised that the madeleines were easy to remove after baking. Unfortunately it is not all good news. I found the silicone difficult to handle as it is so flexible and needs to sit on a baking tray to avoid falling through the oven shelf. Also, the final madeleines did not have very pronounced markings which was very disappointing. I now find myself wishing I had bought the metal tin instead.
