Lakeland Nylon Cooking Utensils - Slotted Turner

Ideal for cooking anything smooth and flat, like Scotch pancakes or fried eggs, the slots in this large Nylon Slotted Turner keep it from sticking on the base of your pan as you lift or flip. You can also use it for pan frying fish or steak or for lifting delicate cookies or shortbread biscuits from the baking sheet to your cooling rack. Well-designed for everyday use, it’s even got a handy integrated stand on the handle for propping on the countertop. Being nylon it’s heat-resistant and won’t damage your pan’s non-stick surface, and the other good news is you can pop it in the dishwasher safely when you’re done.

"Good Product"

Used every day, dishwasher everyday and this product still looks un-worn.

"suitable for use in frying pan??"

This spatula has only been used half a dozen times but the end has already pitted at the end. This has only been used to turn eggs or bacon in the frying pan.

"Functional, but only for lightweight items such as pancakes"

I bought this item in a store, but should have paid more attention to it before purchasing it. This is a very lightweight and flexible item. If you hold the straight edge of the turner and bend it back towards the handle it can actually touch it. If you try to turn anything heavier than a pancake, including a plain old fried egg, it flexes so much as to make it unusable. I have already replaced it with a much sturdier item. As a customer of over 20 years it is sad to see such poor quality items being sold by Lakeland.
