I love these flasks so much I bought two, the red and navy blue, and am going to invest in a third one. They're great for taking a hot lunch for a day out, or cooking steel cut oats overnight (google for directions!) and waking up to warm, perfect porridge. My only quibble is that the spoon has a tendency to try to fold itself up while you're using it, but that's really a minor issue.
Here in the Netherlands bread for lunch is standard fare but my two children get bored with that and like soup, pasta or fried rice for lunch too. Soup is really no problem, it stays piping hot, but the pasta & rice were only lukewarm by lunchtime if the flash hadn't been pre-heated before they went in. We solved this by filling the flask with boiling water and letting the flask sit closed while the pasta was being heated, then tipping the water out and adding the pasta to the warmed flask. So far both kids have been happier with the results and very happy to have a warm lunch, Thank You!
My partner wanted to take soup to work for his lunch but our flask was too big so I bought this one and it is a perfect size for a generous portion. The top is wide enough for him to spoon it out so doesn't need to take a bowl with him. Retains its heat well.
Disappointed that this standard size thermos was so small. Certainly not big enough to satisfy my 10 year old's lunch appetite. As previous reviewer said - fine for a portion of soup. Otherwise very functional and solid but crucially not dishwasher safe ...

I just bought this at the weekend to assist my New Year healthy eating regime (aka taking homemade soup to work for lunch), but despite following the instructions (first warming with boiling water) and filling with very hot soup at 8am on Monday morning, it was luke warm at best when I opened it at 1pm. This Thermos doesn't do what it promises, i.e., keep its contents hot for up to 7hrs. The emphasis should really be on the "up to", as after 5 hrs it was barely warm. Dread to think what temperature it would be if I had a late lunch...
