Lakeland Hard Anodised Defrosting Tray

By chance I was given this as a present last week, wasn't sure when I was going to use it until I forgot to take the fish out of the freezer this morning! Worked a treat, quickly defrosted five pieces of fish that had been stuck together when frozen and best of all is the sloping design that allows all the juices to run off. This meant that the two pieces of haddock didn't sit in the blood from the tuna. Brilliant design, why hasn't anyone thought of this before?

I have just started to use this tray and it really does speed up defrosting, with no yucky meat juices to mop up from the kitchen surfaces - great for a disorganised mum who is always forgetting to get things out of the freezer earlier in the day ! Can you make a bigger size tray for larger pieces of meat ?

This is a great idea, I have a houseful of unpredictable teenagers and never know how many I am feeding at mealtimes! Very useful for adding that extra portion or two, or for last minute changes to menus!

We use this so often it hardly ever goes back in the cupboard. A great Christmas pressie for those friends who already seem to have everything - bet they won't have one of these yet!!!
