One super-thinly sliced tomato is all it will take to convert you to ceramic knives. Slicing soft foods, like onions, tomatoes, meat or fish, with precision, the black, mirror-polished blades of these beautiful knives will retain their cutting edge for much longer than conventional, forged steel knives and will rarely, if ever, need sharpening.

Crafted from zirconium ceramic for durability, they will not rust, do not brown fruit or vegetables and are a lightweight joy to handle. Each one is decorated with the Chinese symbol for ceramic along the blade and comes with its own protective sheath.

Take care of your ceramic knives – they should not be bent, dropped, used to crush food, cut bone or frozen food – and they will reward you with many years of effortless slicing.

"Surprised!"

I bought these scissors last week and was really pleased with them when I used them. However, when I washed them by hand for the first time, both handles came off! I am disappointed and intend returning them for a refund.

"rubbish"

Started to cut something and the handle came off, took them back for an exchange, not an easy task. Just hoping the handle doesn't come off again

"Didn't last long at all"

I bought these scissors today, took them out of the pack, used them to make one cut and 'ping' one of the handles snapped off with part of the ceramic scissors attached to it. Lasted all of one minute. Lakeland were outstanding in dealing with the issue and giving a credit but I wouldn't recommend these scissors. Try the cheaper ones they are brilliant!

"Look nice, utter trash"

I bought a pair of these and up to now they have been replaced twice (I believe). Last time they were replaced I was told very politely that if this pair didn't work then I would have to opt for a refund. Both handles fell off after a short while from the latest pair, so I bought some epoxy and stuck them back in. I have just used them to cut fat from some bacon and one of the handles has sheared off (ceramic has broken as well). In short, they look very nice indeed but are very expensive and completely useless for the price. Both ceramic products we have are similar, we would not buy again.
